The majority of deaths from stroke are preventable. Join Vivien H. Lee, MD, FAAN, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, to discuss everything you need to know about understanding stroke, warning signs and how you can reduce your risk as we raise awareness for World Stroke Day.   • Treatments for stroke
  • Why the hospital is still the safest place in the event of a heart or stroke emergency

Parenting During Uncertain Times

Crystal Milner, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, will discuss effective parenting skills to consider during the Covid-19 pandemic, including:

  • Preparing a family plan for dealing with the pandemic
  • Tips for taking care of your (and your children’s) mental and physical health
  • Explaining the pandemic to your kids
  • General guidelines for answering children’s questions
  • Techniques and coping strategies for dealing with feelings of stress and uncertainty
  • When should you see a mental health provider?
